Richard J. Jakes

Richard J. “Dick” Jakes, age 78, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Dick is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judith; children, Edward (Tammi), Michael (Kelly), and Kristina (Joey) Krogstad; and grandchildren, Emmit, Danille, Andrew, Austin, Temperance, Julia, Quinn, Aubrey, Ellyana.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Holmen, WI. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at the church. Burial will be at Green Mound Cemetery in Holmen.

Dick’s family would like to give a special thank you to the staffs at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center and Gundersen Health Hospice for the care they provided.
